Case Study 1: TRUSTED - Powering Global SPV Deals with Turnkey Solutions

TAMA was approached by two globally recognized financial institutions as a solutions provider to deliver end-to-end SPV administration for a structured finance transaction working to a tight timeline to close.

TAMA was appointed as the SPV agent, delivering full-service administration across transaction processing, cash flow management, waterfall implementation, and reporting. Working alongside a major global trustee and legal advisors, TAMA supported and provided strategic input for the setup, documentation, and compliance requirements to ensure a smooth and timely close.

From bank account setup to tax reporting and KYC onboarding, TAMA provided hands-on support, tackling compressed deadlines with agility and accuracy. TAMA’s ability to navigate complexity and facilitate stakeholder collaboration ensured the transaction met every milestone.

This case underscores TAMA’s reputation for excellence in managing high-profile, multi-jurisdictional SPVs. With scalable and adaptive infrastructure, TAMA brings clarity, consistency, and operational strength to sophisticated deals, delivering the kind of strategic execution that global clients rely on.

Case Study 2: TRANSITIONAL AND TRANSFORMATIVE - Administering Complexity Across Borders: SPV Success in Emerging Markets

A leading emerging markets financial institution launched a pioneering securitization program to drive regional economic development. As the initiative progressed, the institution identified opportunities to enhance its SPV infrastructure, particularly around reporting workflows, to support long-term scalability and operational efficiency.

TAMA partnered with the client to bring added structure, scalability, and operational clarity to the program. By working closely with key stakeholders, the team co-developed tailored reporting frameworks, aligned data requirements and delivery schedules, and implemented a full suite of accounting services. Ongoing coordination sessions ensured alignment and transparency throughout the process.

Building on this foundation, TAMA supported the formalization of the cash management function, introducing processes to ensure funds were held or invested in alignment with the established waterfall structure. These enhancements provided the client with greater visibility and control over fund flows, reinforcing both operational confidence and long-term planning capabilities.

Today, the client has transitioned from ambiguity to precision. They now operate with full financial accountability, robust reporting, and a scalable SPV model ready for future growth. At some point in the not-too-distant future, we expect that the client will further transition to self-administration using software tools provided by TAMA's parent TAO Solutions. This case demonstrates how TAMA supports emerging markets with operational excellence, local sensitivity, and long-term vision, making complexity manageable and growth achievable.

Case Study 3: ACCELERATIVE- Enabling Fast-Track Growth for a Canadian Mortgage Originator

A new Canadian residential mortgage originator needed to scale quickly without building an entire back-office infrastructure from scratch. Enter TAMA: a ready-made, “plug and play” solution for outsourced accounting and administration.

TAMA handled the full spectrum of corporate accounting, including bookkeeping, payroll, tax support and financial statements. TAMA also took on the treasury reporting functions for the new originator, providing information critical to pricing its product offerings and monitoring and evaluating the performance of the portfolio originated by the new operation.

Working in concert with the start-up’s own in-house expertise, TAMA’s strong Canadian market knowledge and nimble execution created immediate value. Its expertise in the processing of accounts payable and receivables, and cash flow management provided clarity and speed from day one, empowering the originator to focus on core lending activities. TAMA was also able to deploy its data gathering and analytic tools and expertise to provide management with the input it required to clearly understand and effortlessly manage the funding and risk elements with its business.

This partnership showcases how TAMA enables high-growth companies to launch and scale with confidence. By integrating quickly and operating seamlessly, TAMA removes friction from early-stage operations while laying the foundation for future in-house transition, if and when it makes economic sense.

Machine Learning in Equipment Finance
By Matthew Hinkley February 21, 2025
The equipment finance industry is undergoing a seismic shift as automation and machine learning tools redefine traditional processes. One such innovation is AWS Textract, a powerful machine learning tool that extracts structured text and data from scanned documents. When combined with Amazon S3 buckets for secure storage, Textract transforms the way financial professionals analyze financial statements . At LeaseSpark, we leveraged these technologies to develop a solution that dramatically enhances the efficiency, accuracy, and usability of credit analysis workflows. The Problem: Time-Consuming and Error-Prone Credit Analysis For credit analysts, reviewing financial statements is a crucial yet time-intensive task. Assessing an account’s creditworthiness requires manually extracting key financial ratios, pulling credit reports, and evaluating other determining data. This process can take anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes—depending on corporate credit policies—and is highly susceptible to human error. The manual nature of this workflow slows down decision-making and increases the risk of inaccuracies that can impact financial institutions' risk assessments. The Solution: Automation with AWS Textract and LeaseSpark LeaseSpark reimagined financial statement analysis by embedding AWS Textract into its application workflow, utilizing Amazon S3 buckets for document storage. Our solution allows users to upload a PDF financial statement directly into LeaseSpark’s interface, where Textract scans and extracts key financial data fields instantly.
